Adult family homes are once again in the spotlight for abuse, neglect and exploitation of our dependent elders. The focus of that spotlight however is unjustly directed. The truth is that we have not yet valued our elders sufficiently to fund adequate care for them and we have generally accepted the often unsatisfactory results.
